(Needle evergreen tree to 50 feet) (Zone 5) Fast growing
like ‘Green Giant’ but more columnar in growth habit. Has
held dark green foliage throughout the winter. A selection
from Smith College that was grown from seed provided by
the Hoyt Arboretum. Formerly called
'Hoyt'.
Growing to only 15 to 20 ft. and 4 to 5 ft. wide the Green
Splendor does not take up as much yard space as the
Green Giant.
Space 3 to 4 ft. apart for privacy.
