A true camellia-collector’s plant with fascinating fish-
tail-like leaves with large white flowers resembling
White Empress. Part shade,
zones 7-9.

Its trunks make an attractive spreading fountain. Lining
the branches are glossy dark green, deeply veined
leaves, narrower overall than those of many japonicas
but splayed out at the tips. The flowers are single and
somewhat irregular, up to 4" across and  snow-white in
color with large contrasting bundles of golden stamens.
An odd and rarely seen Camellia with unusual fan shaped leaves at the tip that trully resemble a
mermaid's tail! Flowers are white, semi-double with large yellow centers. Plant in partial shade, well
drained areas with adequate organic content mixed into the soil for best results
