As a result of interest in camellias that are very cold hardy there
have been a number of new camellia introductions that have been
tested and proven hardy for Zone 6 plantings.
The Pink Icicle is one of the most cold hardy.
Zones 6 to 9 - Height: 10 to 12 ft.

Shan Snow' . Average, compact, upright growth. Leaves dark
green, glossy. Flowers are shell pink, large to very large,
peony form with large rabbit ears. Cold hardy to -20° C.

The pretty Camellia ‘Pink Icicle’ is a cold tolerant
hybrid. It is quite vigorous and has an upright, compact
form. The small leaves are dark green, oval-shaped,
evergreen and glossy. Very large, peony-form blooms of
clear pink appear late in the season. Peony-form blooms
have a mass of irregular petals interlaced with gold
reproductive structures in the center of the flowers.
These features can create a year round ornamental
interest on any landscape.
