| A truly stunning cerise pink semi-double bloom edged in red with golden stamens and a slight fragrance. Truly outstanding cut flower. Long known in Australia under the name 'Hiryu' this splendid camellia of the C. hiemalis species has since proved to be the original Japanese cultivar 'Kanijiro/ Growing vigorously to a tall bushy shape, it makes an excellent garden subject, whether as a specimen tree or hedge. The foliage is dark and glossy and the flowers are large for the species. Single to semi-double and colored a deep cerise, they are shaded paler at the center and base of the petals.
